Mine sound like some cheap speaker. Tried uninstalling all the thing, did not help. At first it sounds like what TS posted, then it become like this..

Is the sub spoilt?

Also why is there a mousepad covering the top woofers?

just to try the speakers, i did a factory reset of my katana by following this link

then tested the sound.

Can you try to reset it too ?

I'm thinking perhaps hardware fault, woofer amplifier gone.

Roll a piece of paper into a funnel shape and place the wide end at your ear. You now have a directional sound detector. Check any sound coming out of both woofers.

There is a audio out port just like a 3.5 mm port.

Also sometimes the speaker will change volume and sound mode when watching youtube video. I tried to turn off smart audio. It still happens, any other settings to change?

Just just 3.5mm audio jack cable for ur TV then.

I'm unsure about the 2nd Qn. Coz I'm actually wiring up my Katana to my TV.

it's good for gaming and movies though.
