Creative soundblaster E1 USB DAC

Managed to test my soundblaster E1

After initial charge, i opened and tested the item at this moment.
Paired the E1 with my xiaomi pistons and ipad as source.
Played some tracks from spotify.

Tested a w tracks and i'm glad my sound signature has changed a little. When using only default pistions, the sound seems a little flat. After pairing with the E1, the sound seems fuller and has a warmer sound signature to it.

With the default earpiece only, the sounds from various instruments sounds a little off balance. Eg drums sounds further back while the keyboards sounds more in front. But after pairing with the E1, the instruments seems to be more balanced.

Anyway cheap hoot from Creative via their online store. $29 a piece (registration required for the offer).

Does it make the overall sound louder? Bought a pair of headphones only to find they r a little soft. Thinking of getting this to boost the volume.

lol...no.....

if you have fren using xiaomi phone...try use their phone to connect with your piston..there is a tweak where they can let you set the earphone use on the port and then the SQ also very amazing without any amp lo ..

The term is actually amplification which helps to boost only
the headphone volume but also the sound quality.
If you are using hand phones for audio, I would recommend
you get either the Creative e1 or e3 to help drive your earpiece or headphone.

Tested my E1. Felt slighty better than without it... Can notice the difference. Esp those very soft sounds, can be heard with the amp....

Creative have no more showroom, both Jurong and Marine
one have closed.
The only way to buy is through online but testing wise
have see whether any vendors and distributor willing
to setup a demo booth for us to play play.
Maybe Stereo Electronics can sell this portable amp
than we can try with various headphones.
If Stereo Electronics is seeing this, do consider
and customer will no doubt want to buy better headphones
together with a headphone amp.
