Thing with Creative is that, today when you buy it at S$199 for a driver with today's OS, eg. Win8. Sure no problem one. 3 years later when they come out with Windows 9 or Windows 10. You will find that Creative may no longer produce drivers for your S$199 sound card today. And you wanted to upgrade to Windows 9 or 10, then how? LL junk away a once S$199 sound card lo...

Just got a Titaniunmm-HD from Cybermind for $199....i was shocked at how small sized the drivers and software package is....no ugly huge skins to be found, very small app that loads fast and stable even in win8.

Who say Creative drivers sucks?

The headphone wise sounds a bit flat compare to the old Azuntech Prelude...some call it more netural?

Enjoy your Titanium HD! :s42:

I've been using Creative sound cards for more than ten years and have no issues with any of their drivers.

Thanks for the heads up... i wondered at that time why they stated the old price for x-fi and not for z series... den realise that there wasnt any sale for them... they put the sign for fun nia, make it look like it is on sale as well..

People who never do their homework/rare shopper will really think it's a sale and it's worth it, so they hoot lor. And at the "sale" venue, they'd just bloat up the U.P. much higher than the actual MSRP

Creative released driver for win 8 in Jan 2013 while MS released win 8 in Oct 2012. The beta driver was buggy, after restart no sound.

Are you sure???

My Sound Blaster Digital Music Premium HD still can download win 8 drivers and stuffs. :s8:

What i meant was i know Creative had a sale, but i didnt know what were the prices. I only know that x-fi titanium was discounted, and the Z series were not. But, i didnt know about their prices from SLS as i may b targetting the Blaster Z frm amazon itself.

I still remember the Audigy debacle, where they disabled features going from WinXP to Vista, claiming that the card couldn't support. Turns out it was disabled in drivers, and if you hacked the drivers, you can enable X-Fi-like features on the Audigy. The rumour was the features in question were licensed to XP only, and Creative didn't want to relicense them for Vista.

This really turned me off because I had 2 Audigy cards at the time.

You sure? Their retailers at ms or other retailers have no affilation to them when i was working there a few years ago.

Surprised?

Anw. Since i worked at ibp i would drop by and see. Cause i remember that that store over there belongs directly from creative itself.

ZxR is the highest range of their soundcards. Good for PC gaming + entertainment.

X-fi is a range of cards. But if you want to go for gaming, can get their X-fi fatal1ty gaming soundcard.

Read on head-fi that that wasnt that good.. creative's true gamign card was the x-fi.. and for some, zxr has taken over its spot..
