Hi..is supercritic care good or any comparable eci/ci plan

Good is quite subjective 😅
For multipay there're T&Cs like waiting period, repeating conditions etc..

The same objective can actually be achieved by a combination ECI + CI riders, without the above clauses. It will depend on the amount of coverage you need to work out an ideal combi or to compare

The 1 u mentioned is multipay ci. U may wan to look at aviva my multipay ci for comparing is thats what u mean

Oh what i am asking is the difference to purchase a term ins with eci rider n ci rider compared to a term ins with criticare. Other than the multipay factor is there difference in the coverage? Am looking at Ax insurer.

Kids i usually recommend wholelife.
And for 200k together. Means in total? As there are many combinations. But if is 200k i will go for all 200k eci
And the 3 year old is next or last birthday?

Total premium for wholelife will definitely be lesser than term.
Do you only want quote for company with old ci or any company?

hi boiboi,

200k for the eci, can quote me for any company

thanks

With the same premium, u will likely to get a higher coverage in a single payout(term+eci rider) vs a multipay.

If u r going for for old definition. Should be company C(old definition cut off date 19 aug) and company A being the cheapest now. Will quote for u accordingly.
To be updated here

I dod not add premium waiver as got no info. But that 1 no issue as its a very cheap rider
Will get u the main plan premium first
All base on 50k base with 4 x multiplier to age 70, 20 years pay
Company C
Son - $1140.50/year
Baby girl - $1106/year

Company A
Son - $1303.50/year
Baby girl - $1288/year

Ok so the difference is just higher payout x 1 vs lower payout x multiple subjected to waiting period and also residual of first claim for sum assured right. The detail coverages of type of CI should be same for similar insurer i assumed?

Quoting u for AXA as well for comparison

$50k Death/TPD/ECI with 4x multiplier ($200k before age 70)

ANB 3 Male
- Pay 20 years @ $1379/year
- Pay 25 years @ $1199/year

ANB 1 Female
- Pay 20 years @ $1257/year
- Pay 25 years @ $1076/year

* AXA ECI Rider for Whole Life pays out additional 50% if due to any 3 of the major CIs (Heart Attack, Stroke, Major Cancers).

For whole life plan, will recommend to look at the guaranteed surrender value as well.

Different insurers will have different breakdown of the list of ECIs. For AXA, current plans are based on 38 (Early Stage) + 33 (Intermediate Stage) + 40 (Advanced Stage) of CI conditions.

Hi all, would appreciate some advice...

Already have accident, hospital insurance plan. Looking to get one for CI, specifically ECI and it covers all CI am i right.

Agent recommended ILP - Death, TPD and Double ECI. $2400/year for 100k coverage.

I've done research and many say stay away from ILP due to the cost and no gurantee of 6-8% returns. However i saw my agent plan about 7 y.o and is getting more than 8% based on the figure of returns as seen.

I am keen to get power critical - death, 5x ECI + WPECI (a rider) for 1600/year also 100k coverage and perhaps in future look at getting a term till age 75 that covers death, tpd and late CI. I added both and it is still cheaper than the ILP for 2400/year and even more coverage.

My main concern of getting would be because of the CI definition changes, and i do not have any coverage for CI. Any expert can advise? Many thanks!

Yes u r right. So a higher sum payout will be a better option than taking a bet on 2nd condition

Yup stay away. Next mix coverage with investment.
When claims, your so call return will also be reduce according.
Ask the agent show u all the clients, simple. 7 years ago till now, most investment would give u good return as market is on bull run

Thanks for your prompt reply. I will indeed skip that. Do you think for now before the CI definition changes for me to take power critical till 75 with no cash payout and a term policy total coverage for death about 200k

I saw few pages ago you quoted someone for a plan that covers death, TPD and ECI. Could you pm me if possible?

Thanks :)

Yes! ECI tends to cover all stages of CIs :)

Fundamentally, if your return is not up to the projected rate in the future, you will have to eat into your own investment return ie, cost of insurance will be taken out from the cash value.

Well, a few pages ago you would have seen the discussion as to if the CI definition changes would be as drastic as how it is being advertised. To cut the long story short, it is to remove ambiguity as well as give more clarity as to what is claimable and what is not. I would say, what you are intending to get is definitely going to give you more coverage with lesser or equal premium!

Yeap! Some product has no waiting period at certain stages whereas some product would have waiting period at the same stages. They are structured differently :)

The detail of the coverage would be uniform as per LIA's guideline but some insurers might include their own extended list of CIs
