Current queue status at Parliament

146k out of some how many 3 million Singaporeans? That's very little. Especially when the queuing up looks as though nearly 3/4 of the country turn up.

if u got 10% which is 300k sinkies that's a lot already

now 150k we still got friday and saturday till 8pm, 300k is reachable la

i suspect this is the plan, after i observe what they were trying to do just now.

for the normal Q, padang is divided into "6 sectors" (or maybe 5, not sure). Once the people enter padang from the underpass, they are moved to the sector. Once a sector is 'filled up', they will close the sector, and move people to another sector.

someone will then control the "gate" to esplanade park. it looks like a bottleneck literally. each sector will take turn to walk through this bottleneck.

so padang works like a 'buffer'. hahaha.

yesterday night got may people say not much people

wait <2hrs....... like 1 hr or so, coz after announcement people thought they got lots of time so all nv go......... in the wee hours all quite empty right? anyone can clarify?

i fall out last night ard 1+(entire trip took abt 2hr from HL Park)

how can the queue move so slow, even if got security check, pple are still being moving, not as if queueing waiting for stores to Open.

u see the news, pple move in hordes to pay respect

you should go right to the front of the queue.

the police is sending batches by batches through the metal detector gate. not a continuous stream of people walking through the metal detector gate.

i went to look at the queue on both days...

Yesterday, the queue although is shockingly, ridiculously long (winding queue all the way to Liang Court) it was a moving queue... Followed the crowd from Liang Court to Raffles Green and on most sections, the queue is always moving. The part between Hong Lim Park to OCBC centre was very fast, to a point people can simply run... So when the news said 8 hours, actually it won't last that long...

One of my colleagues went yesterday when it was announced 5 hours, it only took him 2 hours...

Today, the queue are very concentrated. It is really slow compared to yesterday. In fact only 1/6 of Padang is moving at any point in time... The queue today are much tougher. When media said 8 hours, it will take that long...

Some of my colleagues went today, went in at 10pm, which at that time it was said to be 4 hours... they are still in Padang...

Glad I did it yesterday. I queue at 0015 hour and was out of PH at 0150 hour.

I saw the picture here and it's really worst than yesterday.

the reports are true. expect 8hr queue even at this timing. and the conditions are not the best at the padang. if you cant handle staying in a stagnant crowd for extended periods, under shelter (ie confined space that has its pros and cons), it will be tough.
