how to 3 million go :s22: 4 days where got enough :s22:

The bottleneck is the queue at Parliament house, it moved faster, a lot more pple would have gone. I know a lot of colleagues turn back coz need to go work.

I'm not justifying or promoting 'que cutting'.
All i said was 'it is understandable' due to their time constraint and eagerness to pay their last respect to LKY before rushing to their urgent appointments, and i say 'so lets not be too harsh on them'.

And i believe, many of them, infact most of us, do not know we can pay our respect at some CCs until today.

My conclusion: let us not bash those who cut que previously; they did it for a genuine cause. ;)
those who like to cut
queue have no consideration for others.

Bro Not they don't want it to be faster... It's already quite fast alr basically speed allow you to bow and move on... Can't be any faster already. Unless they open the other side but from the live cam like not enuff space

radio says got 120k ppl visited as at this morning. So I assume maybe in the end 300k. Which is 10% of the 3+million singaporeans.

Hmm.. will white supporters label the 90% singaporeans who did not go as "betrayers"?

Think they count by the condolences cards. When we were near the first security checkpoint, we were diverted to the second one. No cards were given to us though.

update on my que status:
currently in the line.
weather is sunny with some wind.

1:15pm strolled into padang field. ppl were passing out umbrellas n giving out tissues, drinks (mineral water, yeos, liang teh, breadtalk giving breads n cakes), plastic fans.
1:20 being placed in blocks of tentages and sat down to relax in holding area. reminded constantly not to cluster together.
1:50 exit padang holding area to esplanade
2:00 where the real queue begins, all e way snaking to opposite MS/mandarin(float).
along the way plenty of ppl giving out drinks, food, umbrellas and ponchos.
2:15 small holding point at float stand. sheltered.
2:16 released to cont walking.
2:35 walk stop walk stop..... the difficult part is here because of the sun.
3:30 walk stop walk stop opposite victoria memorial hall.
3:45 NS major briefed that there would be a holding point just before the tunnel under bridge to prevent suffocation there. and it would take less than 1.5hr to reach the parliament hse from here.

please help to thank the volunteers and nsf here! they are awesome!!

120k is a conservative estimate. I go uk watch football the attendence so many ppl ppl walk all can chiong out in half hour.. here 24h got queues leh

Sent from Penguin ferry to Tekong using GAGT

This estimation is pretty close.

This started on Wed 10am, and ends on Sat at 8pm.

Total 3 days + 10 hr = 82 hr

Assume 60 people per minute (based on first day of 26K in 8 hours)

In 82 hours, there will be 295,200 people (82 x 60 x 60)

I went in at 11.45am, came out 3.30pm. Less than 4 hrs done!

I was super close to LKY coffin. Bow 2 sets of 3 times. Really feel like so much lighter that I went out despite knowing the possible long queue. Now if you go min also queue 5 hrs

Do u know the 3 terminals of Changi Airport handles an average of 148k passengers a day?

I would say the SAF and SPF are doing a very good job trying to move the crowd fast
