I had a hard time waking up this morning at 4AM. When we got onto the train, we saw more and more ppl boarding. From what they wore and where they alighted, we also knew they were going to pay their respect.
I am glad to take the extra effort to wake up this early and I think many of us who did the same, would help to relieve the queue in the afternoon.
As we left the Parliament House, we saw some NS guys arriving individually. I presume they took their own transport. The other army guys at the tentage and other volunteers in white shirts were helping through out the night. They were really outstanding. Kudos to them!!
And I hope there will be a public holiday called "Founder's Day". Like national day, the day before "Founder's Day" would be a day where school children get to learn more about what our founding father Mr Lee has contributed for us, and of course his team of other founders as well. And this public holiday, if does not materialise, I hope that the volunteers and army guys get a good off day or two. Let them have some rest for this is really not an easy week for everyone.
