actually SAF come in a bit late. they shld have come in earlier to set up more shelter and tentage. send those nsf to help out, its more meaningful

looks like some temp shelter from some disaster

to be fair, nobody expected such huge turnouts
especially when they see so much hatred for PAP and LKY online
based purely on online postings

according to some HR,
initially corporates were asked to send in minimum 2 persons
(probably in case nobody turns up !) but after the first few hours they realised it was totally unnecessary ...

I only curious how long is the waiting for the "priority", thought of bringing my dad.

my colleague brought her kids to priority q last night at 8.30pm and said its super long. She queued for 3 hours, and was told there is another 3 hours to go, so she left halfway.

Day time really very hot. Night time cooler but the entire world will bring kids and elderly so priority and no priority no diff.Esp today is Friday, alot of people tmr no need to work

There are 3 to 4 queues at the padang and the ushers will tell u to jus go to any one of them. IMO, the extreme left one is faster. I was at that queue and it snakes for a bit, then straight out to the exit at the padang. The other 3 queues seemed to snake thru the entire padang. So i overheard some people saying they queued since 2pm/ 3pm but i started only at 4.45pm. Once out of padang then its a straight road ahead which took me another 2hours.

If you are in the middle of the queue and you are regretting and want to leave- do so once u exit padang. Once you reach asian civilization museum, the only way to exit is to jump into the river and swim :s13:

From the time of news about huge turnout to the time tents being deployed, within 10 hours. I would say SAF did remarkable well and fast.

CNA interviewed some people and some said it was chaotic and there had been some mixed up where rushers allow later batches to go in first. I think that's why some people were lucky to get in after 3-4 hours, while those who followed through the entire queue took at least 6 hours

EXACTLY! And made worse by some idiots here who pasted old news.

Better to overestimate the waiting time than to underestimate.

If u are rushing for time n u chose to queue just because Tia gong u need to wait for only 3 hours, u will sure kpkb if it really take more than 3 hours.

Got into Padang pretty fast once I exit from Esplanade (8.55am). Now resting under tentage. Officer here say need to wait 4 hours to be dispatched from Padang and probably another 2 hours to get to Parliament House.

QFT especially the part at ACM. feeling trapped in front of ACM. And ACM under construction, so it's dark and the only light comes from that 3 big spotlights along the river.
