Lucky you. We were stuck at the padang from 945 to 345. I see all other groups leaving for the marina bay platform, except mine. I qn the office, but they give crap reasons.

Yeah, guess I was pretty lucky. My parents went earlier than me but now still around Fullerton area and not back yet.

1 must b ready to wait abt 12 hours bah

I wait since 2330, and im directly at the barrier.

So lets say they are reducing the potential waiting time from padang to ph, that means i might have to wait another 4 hours. But i cant say about those behind me though, especially the raffles city group.

Oh and remember, its already dawn.

To everyone in the queue, be it at Padang or near the City Hall area, please persevere and be calm. Do remain civil and maintain the positive attitude that no matter what, you have already displayed your sincerity. LKY will understand and appreciate your heart, no matter what.

Think of it this way: it may be stressful in the queue, but this kind of stress is nothing compared to the kind of stress that LKY must have experienced throughout his life, meeting politicians who were sarcastic to him, reneged on their promises to him, and a host of national emergencies that must have woken him up from his sleep in the dead of night.

It is not difficult to imagine that the kind of stress that LKY must have endured throughout his entire life as the Prime Minister of Singapore, must have been thousands of times worse than the stress of any queue.

Singapore, you have done well. This state funeral has shown that we are able to stand united in solidarity and to do things the Singapore way.

To all the defence personnel and volunteers, and the SFOC, you have good reason to be proud of yourselves too because you have already done a very good job, to the best of your ability. Thank you.

50 years ago, Mr Lee Kuan Yew began his job by bringing all of us together. 50 years later, he has ended it by bringing us all together again.

50 years ago, he cried for Singapore. 50 years later, we cry for him.

if u planning to try ur luck, get some food ready. just in case. biscuits and water seriously wont fill u up... confirm drag till past lunch.

but the way i see it, too many unofficial queues. later will be like the plaza singapura case. people think they first to get free cinema pass just because they queue outside PS door. meanwhile, another group went in backdoor and climb up to the cinema.
