Hey guys, do you think I should wait for Comex for 55EC930T?

Havey Norman offering 3800 with free 32" TV (not sure which model)

Parisilk is 3920 and 32" LF630T

Or should wait for 55EF9500, flat oled 4k!!!

It is up to you. May be 55EC930T is good.

Quoted "best price" of $5,800 nett for 55EG960T from Harvey Norman. Includes free 40'' UHD 4K TV (49UF670T).

Extended 2 year warranty costs $926 less 15% = $787.10. I believe the price can still be bargained lower.

====

As for 55EC930T, there is very little downward price movement even after the launch of 55EG960T, probably so as it is the only FHD OLED in the market.

Harvey Norman is still quoting "special price" of $3,999, with free 32" FHD Smart TV (32LF630T) + LG Speaker Bar / LG G Tablet (only exclusively at Harvey Norman). Did not bargain any lower, as I am leaning towards the 55EG960T, but I think you can go down till $3,800.

By the way, for roadshows the usual display set prices go for around 25-30% off retail, but there will be no freebies. (For 55EC930T, the retail is $4,298).

Hope this helps.

you mean you didn't know there is an toggle app in LG store??
:s22::s22::s22:
:D Never noticed really.. I just use my Nvidia Shield for media streaming.. Anyway, today they came with a replacement set for my EC930T, and damn it, there are many more dead pixels than the first one! Sh**

So, they said they will do another replacement next week.. See how that one.. I wonder what happens if even that one is not okay! Quite sad really! I cant even collect my free gifts yet, because that has to be based on the TV that I keep eventually.. so not on the sets that are to be replaced.. HN guys have however promised that they will help me to get that once they settle the TV.. Fingers crossed..

Has no one else ever faced dead pixels on this TV in Singapore before?

Is there a built-in diagnostic test in LG OLED TV that will test for dead or stuck pixels?

If not, are there any programs or utilities to test it out?

Also, are there any SMART TVs (not necessary OLED) that come with Gigabit Ethernet Port (so that it can support 1Gbps connection)?

Are LG OLED TVs equipped with just 10Mbps or 100Mbps Ethernet port?

Fast Ethernet is already too good for streaming media contents.

There is no built-in diagnostic available as far as I know. I just use a LCD screen test video from youtube to see if there are any dead pixels for Red, Blue or Green..

Finally got another replacement set yesterday. Checked for dead pixels and there are still two dead pixels (one dead green and one dead red). But at least they are near the edgw,so still tolerable. Let's hope it doesn't get any worse. I am keeping this one for now...

Not bad leh 55EG910T going for $2299.99. Dirt cheap IMO considering its 55" curved OLED. No doubt its FHD not 4K but still, for that kind of price its a damn good deal. Anyway, how much 4K content is available these days?

It's USD 2299.99.

By the way, the LG brochure for model 55EF960T is a misprint, and verified by LG. It should be 55EG960T instead.

Hence, the only new model that will be arriving in Q4 2015 is 55EG910T.

the tv logo is supposed to be illuminated permenently so that one know it is on standby mode even if the tv is switch off
if you can't see the logo, it means you could have meddle with the logo intensity settings

I see. .. thanks for yr reply ... I read the online manual it says .. it will off when the tv is on .. and iluminate when it's off acting as a standby light ...

Anyway I kena one black pixel on the bottom of screen .. gotta live with it then ... otherwise all is good .. The pic quality not as good as what I thought

So you think Plasma is better?

nope.. I think OLED is still way better.. maybe the Pionner Plasma I used 8years back is only 720p .. for OLED considering the deep inky Black and the color richness .. what I meant is I got another LG LCD 4k.. playing both Avenger blu ray .. I still think LG 4k LCD still better .. maybe its due to it higher resolution ?
