I got mine for $3850 last Sunday at HN, + $300 choice vouchers. Also music flow hs7 soundbar at $550 and 2x h3 speaker at $250 each (free LG gpad tablet).

Then realised a few days later, LG launched the red fair lucky draw promo for items bought from 10 June onwards, can win back entire purchase amount... Damm

Black is good but the contrast on those shade is not that detail as compare to a 4K TV.

This is correct observation, even it is compared to same FHD LCD panel. This is due to the way OLED dot placement.

Also the life spam is not as good as LCD. "Burn" mark may be observed after few years.
one may say is ok as long as it can last for 8 to 10 years. But price vs year spam become high due to initial cost. More if you are those owner of LG first gen OLED.

930 is a newer model. Better buy and much improve from older model.

that is not true. lets do a comparison between these 2 models: 55EC930T and 55EA800t
From the specs, my tv support both USB3.0 and HDMI ver2 whereas 55EC930T has no USB3 and HDMI 2.0 .
and it seemed my Tv got more ticks than the other one. what a joke.
As for the "Burn" mark problem, all oled tv has a screen saver which will auto activate after 1min of inactivity thus reduce the risk.
numbers and facts don't lie, no??

Didn't know my TV came with HDMI 2.0, although it's redundant as it doesn't support 4k resolution.

I'm loving it btw. Wongpk, did u calibrate your set?

Those who said OLED contrast lose to 4k probably never watched a movie on OLED tv before.

I daresay most of my guests have been impressed with my screen, but turned away by the price.

I think it is very important to under contrast vs resolution. Normally, OLED has better contrast ratio as all LED can turn off to get a true black.

Do you know why LG has to drop some of these feature?
Yes, there is a inactive timer. How frequently this is used? I guess you would start to know may be 2 to 3 years. Just like those almond LED screen.

Is there any OLED tv not curved? Me not fan of curved..

Curved is good for movie. But not day to day watching. One example is when you watch those news program. All the table and boxes seem to ho curved too.
