55" curved OLED? CLearing old stock siboh? Maybe new model coming if not why so cheap?

The LG FHD curve model, which was the 55EC930 is already in the market for sometime so its not surprising for the price to drop. This month the 65 UHD OLED curved model 65EC970T already launched and the price is 10,199 at Mega Discount.

Also there is the 77EG970T which is abt $25k. So i suppose in the coming months there will be more UHD OLED models from LG coming out.

Well there's a huge gap between $3xxx, $10xxx and $25xxx. Of course I'm not complaining that the price of the EC930 has fallen but I'm just wondering if a newer 55" is in the pipeline? If no then I guess safe to buy. Sekali buy liao, few months later a newer 55" gets released. :s8:

The upcoming OLEDs should all be UHD, no more FHD like 55EC930T.

Got one curved 55 inch UHD OLED model 55EG960T and another 65 inch UHD OLED 65EG960T already appeared in LG Singapore website. So should be selling in shops in a few weeks time

I called LG and they say the new 55" 1080P models and the 55" 4K models likely only be available here in Aug or Sep.

I don't think there's a new 55" 1080p oled in 2015 lineup... unless it's just the production batch (which will be more expensive compared to 2014 models)

I just saw the movie Hercules being played on OLED 65EC970T at BD IMM yesterday. It was simply breathtaking.

The price is just as breathtaking, costing $9999.

If you thought TVs couldn't get any thinner, think again. LG Display's "wallpaper" panel is 55 inches wide, but less than a millimeter (four-hundredths of an inch) thick. It's so thin and light (just over 4 pounds) that it can be attached to the wall with a simple magnetic backing and then peeled off like a sticker. This level of thickness is only attainable with OLEDs, or organic light-emitting diodes. While LCD TVs require a stack of backlights, filters and tiny shutters to create their pixels, OLED TVs put all those into one layer. OLED display has enabled thin phones and other devices, but OLED TVs have been few and far between, partly because it is difficult to manufacture large numbers of them — making them astronomically expensive.

But LG Display, which showed off the super-thin TV at an event in Seoul, South Korea, claims to be fixing that problem, Yonhap News reported. Yeo Sang-deog, head of the company's OLED division, said in a press release that the company had reached a level of manufacturing efficiency in a year and a half that took a decade to achieve for traditional LCD TVs. That doesn't mean millimeter-thin TVs will be selling for peanuts any time soon (this one is just a proof of concept), but it's a step in that direction.

Can't see LG's 4K OLED TV prices coming down to affordable levels anytime soon as they practically have a monopoly at this moment.

Are there any LG flat screen OLEDs available in Singapore?

Feel distracted with the reflections from curved TVs.

Do they come with DVB-T2 tuners?

Samsung SUHD hasn't arrive in Singapore. So when SUHD start selling, I believe 4k price will drop, which may include LG's 4k oled tv.

Where you saw it at? I never saw it at courts

Its not because you never saw it. Its probably you do not even know it is SUHD.

Samsung SUHD models 65inch and 55inch 65JS9000 and 55JS9000 is already in all the major stores.

65JS900 is selling between $6,299 to $6,599 depending on which store you saw.

And this talk about 8k has no meaning. SUHD is not 8k. Its merely full array LED instead of the usual edge lit for better contrast. But in terms of contrast, OLED on paper is better because it has infinite contrast.
