This has been discussed many times before since the launch of the marketing term "LED TV" -

The first thing we need to clear up is the confusion created by the marketing of “LED TVs” – there aren’t any! The so-called LED TVs are just LCD TVs that have a backlight that is made of white LED lights. The LEDs are not the display, just the backlight, nothing more! OLEDs are an entirely different emissive imaging display technology (that doesn’t use a backlight). Unfortunately, many people think they already have an LED/OLED TV at home, but they actually have an LCD TV…

LOL, last time had an argument here with someone about this also. Just because Samsung called their then TV as LED TV, he really insist it is LED TV for all. When explained about the backlighting to him...he turned a bit nasty. Oh well.

There is no 4k uhd player in singapore yet ... Furthermore there is no 4k disc in singapore yet

Just got my 910T from Ken at Best Denki Waterway Point. Just wanted to share that he was willing to demo the TV and explain the details to me without hard selling even though i PMed him for best price. Most people would expect you to just come and pay in that situation. He was also able to give me a more flexible date for my tv mount installation as my place has just started renovating. Also recommended me to participate in the LG racing game to try my luck out and most importantly he was also able to offer a super competitive price!
