Did anyone go for the interview at nyp for dae? I am really worried . I have not received an email to go for an interview.

Hi guys I emailed them and explain the situation happening and they tell me that they are unable to consider my application because they are looking for L1r4 net 26 or btr and only missed one specific subject in the entry requirements by 1 grade. Which I am All suit I got 24 and I only missed English by 1grade I got B4 for math and science which is what they stated as specific entry requirements for the courses I have applied. But I didn’t even get a chance to be interviewed and got rejected way before phase 2 start I think this is just not fair??

Sometimes they immediately admit u in because u already pass the min entry requirements.

i havent received any emails man and here i see people already accepted. want my course so badly dont understand bc i met all requirements.

yep applied on the 11th alr... i went and emailed them just now to clarify why i was interviewed and still rejected. This was what they said tho: (You have not been successful in your Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE) application under phase 1 as the posting is subject to competition, available course vacancies and assessment outcome (where applicable). Got rly sad tbh

Hi guys, I applied for 3 courses in RP during phrase 1 and only common ICT got back to me. I went to the interview and I also did not get into the course. I went to ask the admission office and they say that I did badly for the interview which is kind of expected but also disappointed at the same time...
From what I know, they still have quite a number of vacancies for some courses after phrase 1, which I don't understand why they want to leave it vacant instead of giving the students the opportunity to study.

Now I'm waiting for NYP one, they say that "Only successful applicants will be notified of your application outcome by post". I applied for
1) nursing
2)multimedia and Infocomm tech
3) common engineering
I'm not sure the chances of getting into NYP uh since RP one is already like this.

ps: I got 25pts for olevels

English D7 (would have gotten through EAE if I've passed my english)

Sci C5

I think you should call them up since they called you for the interview means they actually do consider you. If the problem lies in the interview then you can reflect and improve for the next interview. They will only give you a vague and predictable answer if you just email them. I emailed NYP last night with a bunch of questions and the replies are things that can be found on their website.

nope,I did not receive any email or text to ask me to attend an interview. The website did not state any interview for DAE application. It only states that those who apply through SDAE (special direct admission) which they require to see your portfolio will need to attend an interview

Every year is different tho, like last year RP opens up 3 phrases. But this year there is only 2 phrases

I did check on last year's forum and seems that nursing course is always loaded with lots of application, those applications that didn't meet the MER will also be rejected by the course. Im quite afraid coz the application is until 26 March, quite a long period of time huh. Anything can change within these 13 days

I called them just now and they said they didnt had anyone best to refer me to in knowing my interview results and recommend me to send an email from which i got invited for the interview.... So is it best that i go over to rp's office and ask about it? i also did send an email in requesting for my interview assessment.

you can if you want, the best is if you get to meet the people in the admission office
or lecturer of the particular school ( not sure if they are that free or willing to meet ) to discuss the whole situation. Or you might prefer to wait for RP to get back to you through email first? If you are able to know your interview performance through email, then you save a trip down to RP. Btw did you apply for NYP?
