Aiya. No need to pursue further on the thread title.

Give the local retailers some chance also, you don't wanna see them closing down after one another. :)

The more they try to do these sort of things the more I'm tempted to hoot everything overseas and see how they survive. Not saying they cannot earn but honestly some of the things are pure rip-offs.

If paying extra $30-$50 for a $200 GPU but with the convenience of local RMA, I think reasonable although as many have said, sometime oversea RMA much easier, no need que no need travel. Just drop the package and it will arrive back in your house when its done. But charge like $150 more for a $300 gpu is crazy, as many have said its like the conversion charge itself, sometimes higher.

To be honest, it is not fair for the distros since local market is smaller, thus, small economies of scale.

But to consumers, I think this is great savings. :D

Register with either of these U.S. based forwarder/3rd party shipper like below:

Shop USA Online | International Shipping | Ship from USA | U.S. Address
Borderlinx: international package forwarding & shipping, rates calcula…

Then order from amazon and ship to them @ their U.S. adresses, they will ship to you. Don't worry about the shipping fee, it's reasonable. I'm pretty sure for a blueray drive it would be below USD20 for shipping from U.S. to your doorstep.;)
