For newbies like you use thumbdrive transfer sua....
Definitely doable but i don't think you should do it given the need to change many settings, etc...
So example after getting my new rig, from sls. I wamt do a data transfer via wifi to my new rig. Is that possible? Such as game data/program. ( Game data that's install in c:/programx86)

Yeah i also find it troublesome to keep changing IP address back and forth when switching between PC to PC and normal to router connection. Homegroup since Windows 7 made things much easier but bringing items over still need to create folder and share, which can be still confusing for newbies..You are so right lol..i used to do Ethernet cable and connect peer to peer to transfer file..without thumbdrive..the trf speed was fabulous

The easiest way to share files on your network is to set up sharing with a homegroup. If you don't have a homegroup, you can share files by placing them in one of the Public folders. Any file or folder you put in a Public folder is automatically shared with the people connected to your network.

Doable via ad-hoc wireless network...If both r connected to same router can easily setup network sharing .
There no direct wifi to wifi sharing in windows that I know of .
It will be even much easier with WiFi Direct but doubt TS have Windows 8/10 and WiFi direct compatible wireless adapters on both PCs...Doable via ad-hoc wireless network...

Many a time it is very troublesome to shift 2 PCs together and using 2 sets of peripherals and monitors at the same time.
