If I previously bought a fund through invest saver, say ABF gov bond, but stopped buying since 1 year plus ago, if I repurchase the same fund again, will it count towards investment category ?

How long must the gap be between stopping and repurchasing to count it towards investment category ?

you need to redeem for at least 6 months.

you need to terminate the RSP and fully redeem the fund for at least 6 months.

sorry i just started my multiplier accoun, and am waiting for the 1st invest saver deduction on the 15th next and pay credit on the 12th next month.

New posb investsaver RSP applied after applying dbs multiplier should be applicable for investment category for 12 months so long deduction is successful each month.

later on if you want to use RSP for the same fund to count to the dbs multiplier, the RSP for the fund need to be terminated and fund units fully redeemed min 6 months before reapplying

Usually 500 per month on a fund considered quite a bit. Rather u just invest $100 per month. The rest can try to hit insurance or spendings. So can unlock another category.
