If you are talking about a credit transfer from one credit card to a dbs card, i don't think it qualify for multiplier interest

idk whether it's something secretive or illegal but I've not received any pm or sorts.

anyway.. never mind, I'll just buy some unit trusts to meet the next tier...

Hi all, can I check, if I purchased a unit trust fund today in lump sum (not RSP) must it be a new fund which I have not possessed before? or can it be additional purchase from an existing holding?

I have the fund since before I started multiplier.

a bit confused by their terms and conditions:
Unit Trust lump-sum contribution via DBS/POSB
  • Valid for new Unit Trust lump-sum or Online Funds Investment purchased with cash, CPF or SRS after Multiplier Account is opened.
  • The investment amount will be recognised post settlement date.

when they say "new Unit Trust" do they mean a unit trust that is new (never hold before) or simply means a new transaction?

suggest check with DBS directly to get B&W. at least you can hold them responsible.

idk who to pm mah... see the exchange of posts I can't tell who actually have the experience or is it just hearsay... not asking to be spoon-fed.

anyway, have given up that whatever trick that is and opted for unit trusts instead. but now have to check if it's eligible also -.-

both CSOs (one from banking dept who then directed to another from investment dept) over the phone said is eligible.

also wrote in.. waiting for b&w.

the 6-month gap between redeeming and repurchasing is for RSP only is it?

can try pm the few who shared the info. but doubt you can cycle 1k indefinitely to clock 30k for multiplier. I thought the 1k should count as bill payment instead of 'spend' for multiplier

if it's showing 11/12 this month it means you paid your 11th month in Sep (recognise in Oct). so you should be paying your last installment this month which will be recognised in Nov.

Apply your next one in November which will show up and recognise as (1/12) in Dec.

PS. don't cancel the insurance plan until you see 12/12 reflected next month. You can terminate GIRO first on 1st Nov.
i think i missed this......

i went to cancel my insurance, not the GIRO, i already paid the premium from the previous month..... so sad... such a waste.

Can I appeal with DBS?

Yup happened to me. Posted my experience in the past few pages.

I tried the hotline, but hard to explain through phone.

So i went down to the branch to appeal instead. Still takes a while to explain, but at least there you got more toms, dicks and harrys to get your point accross.

Had to fill up some form for the hq to check.
eventually they did credit the interest.

Just use any posb/dbs credit card to advance prepay your other bank (except CITIbank) cc bills using posb/dbs ibanking bill payment function. Subject to high enough credit limit of course. Can’t reveal more, if not become another amaze saga 😉
