If CDP account isn't linked to DBS Multiplier and instead linked to another DBS savings account, to achieve the above, need to change the linkage to DBS Multiplier? How to change?

no need to change linkage

Buy SSB every month for six months. Then every month will have a little coupon payment coming in. Will last for ten years, even though dbs may stop this account before that.

this will qualify for the investment category?

So we can share:
- salary interest if we both credit our salaries to a joint dbs account
- home loan interest as Long as both of us are the principal home loan owners.

Wait, does it mean if I earn 9k and my partner earn 8k, by crediting salary to our joint account, both of us would have 17k of salary recorded under the salary component?

may i know which would be the joint account?
the DBS Multiplier account?
or the say POSB ESavings which the salary is deposited into?

its best if we both have our own Multiplier accounts so each can have 50K
& we both credit our pay into a Joint POSB esavings account.
would the above work?
thanks

yes. both credit pay into a Joint POSB esavings account, then combined salary counted to both single dbs multiplier accounts

Suppose spouse $1.5k salary is credited to personal POSB esavings account, while I make arrangement to credit $5k salary to Joint POSB passbook account. We shall open a multiplier account each. Spouse refuse to trouble HR and herself to transfer salary credit to Joint POSB passbook account.

I reckon my salary will be considered as $5k. Will spouse salary be considered as $1.5k or $6.5k ($1.5k + $5k)?

But I guess this doesn’t make a difference if it’s still within the 5-15k range

If I swipe 12k from my cc means I will get the interest from that right?

slight twist
how would this work out?
wife & hubby each have their own Multiplier account.
wife & hubby have a POSB Joint eSavings account
ONLY hubby has SAL credited into their POSB Joint eSavings account.
wife not working no SAL
can both the above Multiplier accounts earn the Bonus interest?

don't think so. both must have salary credited into the joint a.c
