The foreign banks have been raising their FD rates, in your shoes would wait till next month so can have a longer period to earn interest and hope that they increase the rate.

Those are registration windows, so your hypo case of 20 Mar registration will fall into window 1 and bonus int computed from 20 Mar to 2 Jun (or thereabouts).

Double check the tnc when you actually do it on the day itself. Next one likely only from 15 Apr based on the past.
