Think I screwed up by opening new Global & Asia portfolios in 1-2 weeks ago. Both are in the red. I can tolerate losses in the Global one but topped up lump sum on Monday and down $400+ due to China-related ETFs for Asia Lv 4. I admit I tried to buy the dip, ended up catching a falling knife

At this rate, hide the digiportfolio section in my app and look at it in a 5 years time or should I cut my losses?
Just keep it there if u dun need the money urgently. What is bought is bought, can't be always doing the cut loss stunt when the price go south right? It dun seem to me that it will be gone case forever. Just my view la.

I have the asia portfolio level 4 too. Small holdings and in red.

Why go for unit trust? I thought they have 1 on global etf?
When digiportfolio was first launched, it was only available to Treasures customers & only with UTs. The ETF version came with the public launch & was available to anyone, but the UT version remained exclusive to Treasures.

Why UT over ETF? Looking specifically at the Global Portfolios, they are very different products, with probably the biggest difference being that the ETF version is rebalanced quarterly, while the UT version is rebalanced 'tactically' (whatever that means). Perhaps it's all just marketing BS, but the reality is also that over the same period of time, the UT version has outperformed the ETF version, across all 3 risk levels.

One other minor difference is buying into the UT digiportfolio counts under the investment category for the multiplier account but not the ETF. DBS has been saying since the launch that they are working to make the ETF version count, but that hasn't happen yet....

What does the unit trust version invest in? Can share? I read about the global portfolio plus investing in 10 unit trust with min $10,000 and also 0.75% management fees. Is this management fees on top of the unit trust management fees?

The Risk Level 4 portfolio buys in these funds

Holdings
Equity
FTIF - Franklin US Opportunities Fund
Capital Group New Economy Fund
BGF European Equity Income Fund
Nikko AM Japan Dividend Equity Fund
First State Dividend Advantage Fund
UBS (Lux) Equity SICAV - All China Fund

Fixed Income
Natixis Loomis Sayles Multisector Income Fund
PIMCO GIS Diversified Income Fund

Yes, like all robos, the fund management fee is on top of whatever management fee the underlying UTs or ETFs charges.

Lump sum for both lvl 3. Lvl 4 i oni dca once. I wanted to compare their roi diff keeping all factors same except the time period when i invested

Now moi aim is to compare against endowus which i started half a year ago. Seems to b on path to either match or exceed that of digi. Shall see after a year.

for those that started lately for Global Portfolio, believe it's currently at a small loss but don't start feedback or commenting here that "lose money alr" or what here. Investing is long term. If put alr then next day hundreds of profit then i would have thrown loads at it. DYODD.

I think there is a delay, the small loss you see is when US markets fell few days back, but now US markets are already ATH, so the digiportfolio will also reflect is in 2-3 days. This timing difference is also one of the things that puts me off. With funds and ETFs, you know your porfolio value the next day at the latest, but Robo takes 2-3 days I think.

Relax la bro! This kind of digiportfolio need to put there for 3-5 years. If today I go sleep and wake up 5 years later, I quite sure digiportfolio will do well. 😆

My lvl4 portfolio hasn't been rosy since this year mid-Feb. More recently the situation in China has been shaving off the returns from MCSI China. Will monitor for 1 or 2 more months, as there is a likelihood of me shifting out of digiportfolio if the performance falter further.
