anyone can help me with my calculation? If i'm right, then it seem like my points are off by quite a bit for last one-two month.

Only april seem correct.. since I just got the card from april.

If i'm wrong, then do tell me which part i calculated wrongly. thanks.

So this is my first statement April... points is correct.

So I have break it down, and the points given is correct comparing to the statement one. and since all are online transaction, i should get 9x points for my next month which is 1525 right?

then that month I should get whatever spending + 1525 to get my total points right?

But if you see this next month points given.. it's short of 71 given my calculation. This is May.

June

And this is July, with the biggest net difference.

so what's wrong with my calculation or dbs calculate wrongly?


also, any idea why there is a redeemed/expiry on my points? i never use it at all.. and this card points should last for a year.. i just got it a couple months back.

9x is based on calendar month, not statement month.

ok... so based on my jun spending.. i spent around 2.6k.. so only 2k is taken into account for the points. hence that's why my points are lesser.

i did a quick calculation, and by removing 600$, the points seem about right i think. with 100 points or so differences.

damn.. it's so hard to calculate when the bill and calendar month are different. i think call in to change the billing date to calendar month is better and easier to track?

I bought Safra Treats vouchers with DBS cards a few times with Altitude, Fresh, Womans etc., never once received points - ZERO.

So I've switched to other banks already for Safra.

Change cycle date to later part of the mobht after 16th for slightly easier tracking. Do not choose 16 bill cycle.

From DBS TnC.

For every S$5 online spend, 1X DBS Point (for local transactions) or 3X DBS Points (for overseas transactions) will be
awarded one working day after the transaction posted date. The remaining 9X DBS Points (for local transactions) or
7X DBS Points (for overseas transactions) are only applicable to the first S$2,000 online spend per calendar month,
and will be awarded on the 16th of the next calendar month. If the above days are not working days, the DBS Points
will be awarded on the next working day.
