so far this card does not restrict "online" transaction (except Intercontinental Hotel Group room booking according to list compiled by lcpteck).
Perhaps update here again when u got the result -16th Sept

P.S: qoo10 also does not send OTP but is counted

OTP is optional, most overseas website don't have it anyway.

Wow, that's a bummer - was about to book an IC hotel. Is this because the hotel doesn't actually charge the card online but at the hotel once the physical card is presented?

That's a good question. Based on my records,my card was charged in advance before the actual stay. As per my calculation, it did not earn 10x points. But right now I'm not so sure cause all my points for this card is messed up. I don't really know which points earn 10x and which didn't. Maybe I should take it up with DBS to check each transaction to find out...

Why not make a booking and let us know if it did?

Still thinking whether I should book directly with the hotel or with Expedia/Booking.com. If I go through expedia.sg then I won't have to face the wrath of two currency conversions along the way.

I honestly count on making just several transactions per month with this card, so it will be quite easy to check if any transaction is ever treated differently than "online."

The formula, if any, is the same as UOB preferred- dif is the 9x point is given on the 16th of next month
Say I spend $100 this month, I will get 20 DBS points. Then, by 16th next month, another 180 will be given ,making it a total of 200 DBS points

So Woman's card is different from Altitude then? Because Altitude states the same but actually counts it a bit differently so you do not just get credit for every $5 but also for numbers in between. So $5 gives 3 points (=6 miles) with Altitude, but $4 gives 2, $2 or 3 gives 1, and $1 gives zero.

I understand the Woman's card is a bit more rigid in that only multiples of $5 are counted?

All the hotel chains don't qualify for the 10x points. I've tried Hyatt, Hilton and Accor.

Ok, so best to go with prepaid rates with the likes of Expedia then to ensure that you get 10x points instead of just 1x.

Interesting to see Zuji show up. I recall reading an article in the Straits Times several days ago about people having serious problems with booking made through them (or rather bookings that were supposedly made... but in fact weren't finalised on their end).

It will be simpler for us to work out if you can simply list the 3 transaction amounts and total points awarded. I can back-calculate if you can't derive a formula.

I think its statement x 0.2.

3. $201 (after conversion from foreign currency)

Total points awarded: 92
