Calling means they already did a preliminary check and assessed that you might be able to get it. But final approval is still up to many factors.

HSBC checked my CBS the day I applied. Did you take any free CBS report from another bank after applying to HSBC?

Bcos my Citi application killed the free report from HSBC. So my free report was from Citi instead. You cannot stack up the free report eligibility.

I retrieve a free report from Maybank. But inside the log there wasn't any record of check done by HSBC (other than the credit card check done on 3 Mar which was before my application)

For those who have approved for sometime, do you receive statement from your DCP Bank to show how much they pay and to which account? So far, I have no idea how much HSBC pay to my CC and loan accounts. I just want to make sure that the loan figures tally with the total paid (including 5% buffer).

Citi issued me a letter that shows everything. Everything is in order after checking.
