Hi Jojodespo .... I saw you are very encouraging... I'm already so exhausted that I even Wanna take part time.. They just don't take HZ. Now pending dbs...

DCP is definitely not easy to get approved. There are so many ways in which the banks can decline an application.

But there are plenty of success stories to prove that perseverance counts!!

I myself failed 5 times with 4 banks. Before being approved with SCB.

Hello all. I think like everyone, I also lose sleep thinking of my dismanagement of debt, I’m here and reading about DCP, not sure of my rating yet, but I know it’s time to seek help. My first post here, also I have trouble sleeping, due to this trouble I created for myself. So I wake up now, because I just started a family, and realised I am not being fair to my wife and child, so therefore it’s time for me to be accountable for my dismanagement.

Most of you are encouraging, feel good that I am not alone.

I’m about 68k in debt, 4500 per month salary. Only managed to pay my min per month. I’m considering HSBC or OCBC. Can don’t flame me for asking, but has anyone apply successful with OCBC, but they managed to retain the OCBC PLUS! Card? Because I only intend to grocery shop with that, nothing more. I know under DCP, they assign u a card, but are there other banks that anyone has successfully managed to allow them to keep their existing card? I only just need OCBC card. Feel down from my spending that it affects family now.

Yes you can submit to multiple banks for higher chance, but do note that if your application for all banks fails, then your CBS report would have incurred a huge dent in demerit points due to them checking your CBS report. It also adds to risk factors that affect the report.

Would suggest to apply for those more lenient banks like Maybank, UOB, HSBC

Posb very tough.

Hi I'm new here, just to check, do you mean we can submit multiple application for diff bank? I'm thinking of submitting to uob, ytd submit for posb but review here seems successful. Rate skewed towards uob

Please advice

Call the hotline directly so you can email them. Or just submit a blank document and they will call you back

Hey bro, was in your situation before... about same outstanding and same salary.

Don’t go for OCBC, their approval rates are pretty Low.

If you’re looking for a higher approval chance, do go for Maybank, UOB, HSBC.. if you’re at HH.

Go for SCB if your credit rating is FF and above only.

The other banks don’t bother unless you wanna try your luck.

For grocery, you can still still use debit cards to collect points.

All the best bro!

Hey bro, thank u very much, u are indeed very encouraging. I shall try and hope to clear. Care to share what are the procedures & processes like?

Haha. And I called OCBC CSO to inquire about my previous question. Kena sort of “tell off” by the lady that OCBC only issue a standard card and not be “choosy”. Such is life ah, when u are down and out, even people also gan u. (Ya I know I asked for it also.) haha

🙏🙏 I'm pending for posb to approve, but seems low chance as I'm HZ. I AM so desperate that I could barely survive plus all non cc daily expenses. So I submitted online for HSBC AND make registration myself to ccs talk for dmp... I just wanna have a clear way to clear off outstanding... But text with the cso reco from. Here. She says increase my rating first at least to HH. But the payment cycle date was before my payday........

Last night I submit 2nd application to hsbc. 1st dcp was to posb but pending for 3 days.

HZ cux... 2 of the bank debt min too high. But I pay to them more than half of min. They are OK. I think is citi. Cux the cycle of due is before. My payday. I down fr 6800 to 5240 since last yr. Monthly I pay on the day of my payday... I hope they will look at reason for why I'm hz..... I don't know how to change the rating and if change the payment cycle from Bank does it help? Desperate when u are lost..... I saw u go to money lender to borrow partial amount to clear and increase ur rating. But too risky... If my rating doesn't improve and if I don't clear alot of money outstanding per month then snowball again

HZ would probably be HSBC or Maybank. Never seen other banks with HZ approval.. it also depends on the reason you got HZ. Isit due to court case of not paying bills, or some car insurance issue etc etc

Hi Guys, may i check if taking up DCP affects application for new jobs? Also, lets say if we take up DCP from SCB, will it affect relatives working in SCB?

Thanks in advance for the help!

All the best and stay the course. I am on a long journey, too, 84 months but via DMP route.
