Actually the interest rate for this really quite bad, not too sure why is it attractive? :)

I guess it is still better than our existing financial commitment, with the mounting interest and no light at the end of the tunnel...This DCP is like a detox program.

Actually how you all pile up debt?
My existing debt also very heavy but I always keep track on exact repayment date.

Are you in the wrong thread? All of us know the exact repayment date. Problem is most of us here just about make the minimum payments without defaulting. DCP gave us hope that we can wipe the slate clean and start afresh within a certain period of time.
But it's been a false and very disappointing hope for me so far.
How do we pile up debts? WTF kind of stupid question is that?
Gambling, go Geylang too often, like to drive nice car, wear nice wrist watch, buy whatever you like on impulse, everyone got different poison
End of the day O$P$...either through DCP or working harder and spending less

Which bank rejected you ?

Not Stanchart. I thick-skin went back to UOB and BOC and asked why. They basically said I got rejected cos I'm self-employed. Basically, for freelancers, they minus 30% of your declared income straight away, i.e. if you make 10k monthly, they only count as 7k. I never submit to SCB cos I think result will be the same. I'm working on other avenues to solve problem now that I've given up on DCP.
But I've always enjoyed a great relationship with SCB and I think you have a good chance. Sincerely hope to hear good news from you in this thread :)

lol...hahaha...that's very funny :) i went CCS but they are not miracle workers. Basically everybody wants to save on interest but what they stress is monk-like discipline in your spending. People like me want DCP cos no matter how high the interest is, at least a few years down the road, everything will be paid. And monthly installments still much lower than the minimum payments combined.
If you want CCS to help, everything must itemise montly. Macham toilet paper also must account for. Too restrictive for me.

not really leh. its more for paperworks purposes and they never really force you to prove how much u got to pay for toilet papers every month.

its just a generic usage per mth for groceries which u can't really prove also.

that's what i feel lah as i went through it. and from first appointment to approval takes around 2 months.

anyway just sharing only.

i thought dmp also same, few yrs down the road all payments will be cleared and payment per mth also less than all minimum combined.

thats why im curious why all rather keep trying for dcp than go approach ccs.
