Deliveroo customer gets whole bag of spilled pork ribs soup, cannot get refund

nope..
u order 4 set. come 3 set. missing one set. so by right deliveroo has to resent the missing item at no extra cost to user.

but they only refund the missing item.

this delivery charge for the missing item is extra cost incurr by the user becoz of deliveroo delivery issue.

it has nothing to do with user. why should user be penalised for it?
Happened to me last week. I asked to refund entire order

i never see any edmwers mentioning their sellers resend them leh

they do pattern and behaviour analysis on the acc. e.g if u order 10 times. 9 timss got problem. vs another order 10 times only 1 time got problem.

So grabfood if you do not get some items in the delivery, you lodge a complaint, and they will refund you for the missing item.

But that disregards the pain you have for not receiving the food you ordered, and does not do justice to the RM5 delivery charge you paid for the order.

I suggest grabfood not only refund the price of the missing item, but make an immediate delivery of the short order at their (or the restaurant's) expense, and also waive the delivery charges for the next order.

This is why I avoid soup food.
All these also depends on how the delivery person pack the item

my fish soup spill like 1/3 i send pic to grab no questions asked refund leh
unless the user acc has too frequent request for refunds. otherwise usually is full refund. so deliveroo is dumb to have a pr disaster. unless they have concern the particular user is frequent refund requester

yep. but so far so many users user experience is they do full refunds. unless i think if the order is really huge. its about appreciating ur customer experience.
.they already pissed offf for waiting and one person have to go hungry.

I’ve been always using GrabFood for ordering food but it’s the first time today they missed some items in my order. When I called their customer service, they only refund me for the money of the missing items. If I want to reorder then I have to pay for it again by myself. What a irresponsible driver/ service. I assume it’s not the restaurant fault since the receipt has all of my items on it.

i think only u n i feels it could be the customer's problem here. as u had mentioned, this customer could be requesting refunds very often.

I saw the pictures, the whole bag should contain 5 items but the pictures shows only soup n rice. What happened to the pork ribs ? Looks like most of the food had already been consumed before taking these pictures. Customer should provide a clear pictures of everything

Mainly missing items (especially things like drinks or side dishes) from my experience. You just have to report it to Foodpanda and they should refund you for the item that didn’t arrive. Calling the shop generally isn’t the best idea as they most likely won’t refund you.

tl;dr Foodpanda can’t fully refund missing items from bundles and add-ons. Not until in-apps chats, then emails, and calls mentioning the contract terms.

Just ordered my late lunch from Foodpanda. All food but drinks went missing and their prices were 8 SGD in total. Delivery fee was 6.59 SGD. Guys guess how much of the refund and compensation were offered by the customer service?

2.63 + 2 SGD… like what the heck? They said it’s a bundle with add-on so they can’t refund separated items. The refund must be generated by their system.

I'll be the devil's advocate this time.
First, the "rounding adjustment" should be ignored as it is the amount of both missing item combined, so it could be the restaurant not having the item requested and they simply put that amount as "rounding adjustment".
Second, the support staff, from what i can see, is very helpful. There's two item missing here, they refunded the missing item, fair and square, end of story. The food is ****? Not Grab problem, take your complain to the restaurant. Grab in no way need to compensate you for the restaurant mistake as they're just the middle man.

Same, have similar experience but somewhat worse. Ordered Subway 2x (beef) sandwiches. Get only 1x (chicken meat sandwiches). Im allergic to chicken. They only refunded the missing items. They can’t even give full refund because I got one item even if it’s the wrong order. In the end I can’t even eat it. Sad life
