My order took 4 working days.

They assemble it in Penang.

Ya I am pretty pissed cos I was told that it will only be delieveed to me on Monday
Which meanings they take 7 working days when my laptop was already assembled and tested on Wednesday(Ordered on Monday morning).

Last night, check the status on the phone it said it reached SG.
So this morning, I tried to get it deliever by today and finally it will come today after numerous calls.

Call 1
Told CSO I want to have my laptop delievered by today, she said she will call the forwarder and get back to me soon.

Call 2 - 1 hour later
No Call, Called Dell again, said the same thing, this time I was given the number to the Dell SG Warehouse

Call 3 - 5 min after call 2
After 5-6 calls, someone picked up, spoke to him abt my delievery, after a few minute of babbling, I realised he doesnt understand English. Spoke Mandrain to him instead, but he said he cant release the laptop for delievery as it's not under his control. Have to confirm with Customer Care. Promised to help me verify and will call be back 5 mins later.

Call 4 - 30 mins after Call 3
No call at all. Called Dell instead, say the same thing and they wanted me to call the warehouse directly until I told the warehouse's dilemma. Told me they will call back soon.

Call 5 - 30 mins after Call 4
No Call yet again. Call Dell again, the CSO also wanted me to call the warehouse directly but I refused cos it's no point, me being the ball thrown around by both sides. CSO said she will drop an email to the warehouse. I am skeptical abt the email.

Received Call 1 - 10 min after Call 5
CSO told me laptop ready to be deliever on Monday, but I said I wanted it delievered today. CSO claimed that the laptop is still in transit, hasnt arrived at the SG warehouse. I told the phone status said it arrived and ready to be delievered. Then she said she will check and call me back later

Received Call 2 - 5 min after Call 1
Another CSO called and told me the same thing. This time she said Monday 6.30 - 10pm. And I repeated myself again, that my laptop is already in the warehouse can they deliever now? CSO paused and checked then told me that it is indeed in the SG warehouse, new delievery time Today, 2 - 5pm.


After calling for 2.5h, finally get them going.

Advice: If you want to check your order status, do it thru the phone and not online, the phone order status updates more frequently than the online status. Apparently, my phone status said order reached SG, my online order status said "Order Loaded waiting to be exported" - still in Penang.

Go Bug them, but you may need to spend a bit of time like I did.
But it's worth it.

Now to bug them. nah, i'll bug them once i see the online status go up.

Actually, I noticed that too
Everytime I bug them, the online status get updated a few hours later

dell is cheap. They outsource almost everything. Cheap sometimes come with a price. But overall still value for money if on budget.

Wow! Your 6400 is turbo charged.

ok oni la, just thought for the price, its valued for money as i can see most notebook will costs around 2.2k to 2.4k+ for the specs that i wanted tho the designs may be more sleek looking. but i lean towards specs over design..

but does anybody feels that silver and white finishing looks a bit odd? wanted to get the m1210 at first for its cool and sleek black finishing but dun like 12.1 screen..too small for my own liking..
