I just got my 640m, When i use my hand to touch the IEEE1397 connector or other ports on the left side. I can feel some static electric. Is this common? I dont think there should be electric coming out from the ports rite??? Anyone got this prob?

Static? Very unlikely with 70% to 80% humidity in S'pore.

More liky sweaty hands.

quite strange since mostly happen on desktop though. At least in desktop usually because of poor power line grounding.

but I tried to call and they said my laptop is almost and they will call me for delivery arrangements tomorrow morning...

i ordered my 6400 thru their hotline sales rep on 19/09 (mon) morning and got it on 22/09 (fri) noon. i must say i m very happy with their efficiency and its a plus point that i am able to check my order status online.

was poundering for quite a long while of which laptop to get as my budget was around 1.8k to 2.2k..quite a lot of choices i must admit..hp compaq,dell,acer,benq,sony etc realized those that are cool looking ones are overprized when you looked at their specs and i prefer bigger screen so i opt for specs over designs and i m very happy with my purchase..so far so good

my specs are as follow;
core2 duo t5500 1.66ghz, win xp pro, 1gb ram, 80gb hdd, 15.4 with truelife, dvd rw, 256mb ati x1400. got it around 1,800+

Waited for their call this morning gave up and instead called them

But to my disappointment, my order is still in Penang, havent ship over
Have to wait again

I got 2 Dell XPS M1210 with me now... I requested for a replacement due to some issue earlier this week and they delivered one this morning...

Dell's XPS Premier service is damn good I must say...

I just ordered a inspiron 6400 online.
cost me 1.6k with the warranty.
i should probably have checked it out here before i did the Credit card transaction,
but i was just wondering
how long do they take to process my order?/delivery
and also, was it wise to purchase the warranty, thats like costing me an extra 2-300 buckeroos.

There's nothing wrong with purchasing the Warranty Extension; you should be able to sleep better.

Dell has updated their info on the battery recall.. looks like more batteries are affected.

They assemble it in Penang.
