cos i m thinking of getting a latitude but get ram from sls

If you get RAM from SLS make sure you check the BIOS>Memory Info before you pay for it.

Diavonex,

is there any reason for the advice? is it because the sim lim ppl will cheat u?

If you buy 2GB of RAM, and the BIOS shows 1GB then something must be wrong with the other stick.

I believe for Dell, this will not void the warranty. Upgrading of RAM.

I strongly suggest you use it for a month or 2 before you delete anything.

Get to know all the features especially those that get you out of trouble e.g. Ctrl+F11

Most of us are in too much of a hurry to delete things and later realise that some deleted functions are very useful.

20MB to 40MB of hard disk space saved is peanuts nowadays.

I got rid of them by first deleting all the partitions and then created new ones.

1. Image C: drive onto an external USB drive

2. Wipe off everything with PartitionMagic

3. Create new partitions

4. Restore Image to C:

it dont let me delete the gray part...

The space is there, you can't cut a "bit" physically off the hard disk.

You can turn the unallocated space into a bigger partition and then merge it with an adjacent partition.
