hi,

am using an updated win xp dell inspirion 6400 laptop, lately upon startup of comp, i get following error:

"Btballoon.dll unable to be found, reinstalling it would solve the problem."

thing is, what is this? I know it's sth to do with bluetooth, which I am now unable to use, altho all the icons and setting are set to run.

I read somewhere it's due to SP 2, if so how do i uninstalll it?

So what shld I do?

Thank you.

anyone know anything???

HI, Can give comment on tis configuration

Dell™ Inspiron™ 1520 Notebooks

-Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor T7100 (1.80GHz, 2MB L2 cache, 800MHz FSB)
-1 gig 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM
-NVIDIA® GeForceTM Go 8600M GT with 256MB DDR2 dedicated graphic memory
-15.4" Wide Screen XGA (1280x800) display with TrueLifeTM
-120 gig SATA hard drive
-2yrs CompleteCover™
-Windows Vista™ Home Premium

Total cost: $1829.00

-Is it reasonable???
-Wat the different between CompleteCover & Collect & Return Warranty (Parts & Labour)???
-If I add in own 1gig ram with dell 512mb ram; total 1.5gig ram, will it run smoothly, & will it void the warranty??? Is it easy to open up the ram cover???

Pls comments. Thks a lot.

DDR2 for the graphics card? i say you better hold off getting this laptop... it's supposed to be DDR3... maybe they run out of DDR3 for the 8600m gt, for the other new models with 8400m gs it's still DDR3.

it's also a waste to get 1280x800 for a 15.4", at that resolution i'd rather go for the 14.1" (and even then, I would go for 1440x900).

completecover covers accidental damage; best to call and ask a Dell rep the warranty questions...

Perhaps the mobile version only has DDR2, while the desktop mainstream flavour has DDR3?

No, laptop as well. It is up to Dell to install DDR2 or DDR3. And it is up to you to check in your final item list before payment... make sure DDR3 is stated so if it comes with DDR2, you have a case...

so what does the limit warranty mean ? Does it mean the warranty will be similar to Fujitsu, etc... standard service ?

Thanks all for the reply.

-As I noe ddr3 memory is faster, but NVIDIA(R) GeForce(TM) Go 8600M GT
256mb ddr2 shld be better than 8400 GS 128mb ddr3 rite?

-For the complete cover warranty, when the warranty is due, i purposely drop it, will i be able to get warranty rite???
Will Dell replace a new notebk or just fix the spoil parts only???

- Current
Dell™ Inspiron™ 1420/1520 Notebooks, is it heavy to carry around???
