Will call tmr.. can upgrade to 9 cell? maybe top up abit? cos at first, this 6 cell only lasted 2hour +

Hey sorry to interrupt. I have 1420 running on Vista. I upgraded to the 1440x 900 monitor. However, if i want to use vista at 1280x 800 mode, what do i do? I have tried to change the setting in Display settings. It works, but whenever i restart computer, it changes back to 1440x900. Is it possible to change it permanently?

Inspiron E1405 Screen turning Red

My Inspiron Laptop's screen decided to turn reddish all over in windows xp environment one day. Tried in in Bios, and its red too. Connected it to external monitor and the picture's normal.

Was told that most likely i need to get the laptop screen replaced.

Any idea besides going to DELL, what are my other options? Dell quoted me $500 bucks to replace it.

That's too expensive. Any lobangs?
