I am a previous owner of Dell 600m. I would say 600m is a very good and lightweight lappy. Come with GbE as well for technical personnel.

I have sent you a pm regarding 600m memory upgrade.

eh those people using m1210. got some stuff to ask

1. charger getting hotter. any issue or not?

2. how long u guys take to transfer data from dvd to notebook. 4.4gb type. mine take more than 20 mins, normal or not?

3. anyone using starhub maxmobile or m1 broadband, you all got encounter any problem when installing the device? my usb port like got problem detecting the device, giving me intermittent connection and disconnection of device plus detecting PnP problems when im on windows xp. but after that i change to window vista, device can be detected but still intermittent disconnection and connection sometimes.

Iwent to starhub, tried few more devices and tested the same device on various computers all working great. so not starhub fault.

4. my notebook also getting quite hot after install back vista. are our m1210 suppose to be that hot?

Some comments for my unit:

1. So far havent notice the heat issue on charger. Will observe

2. Never fully tried, but installed World in Conflict on my unit and didnt feel slow during file copy.

3. Yea the USB seems to switch off for mine when I idle too long even when I selected the usb suspend as off while in AC (In vista)

4. Hmm the bottom feels warm after several hours of use, doesnt feel burning hot to me.

Inspiron 1420 power button not sensitive

I have just gotten inspiron 1420 and I noticed that the power button isn't very sensitive. Called up support and they mentioned that this is a kid-safe feature.

Anyone finds this frustrating or is it just me?
