i bought a dell XPS m1530 2 weeks ago and only today did I found out that I'm missing the IR remote control! dell sales hotline is now closed so I can't call them up at the moment. does anyone here have missing accessories as well???

Bro, where did you buy it from? Online or Courts? I'm not sure whether it's IR or wireless. It just works when I anyhow point at the laptop. Haha. XPS hotline is 24x7. Did you get the correct hotline? Or are you using the Inspiron one?

bought it from courts. i know it's the dell travel remote control which comes with every xps m1530 notebook. i used the dell customer service hotline but it's close atm. maybe i should try the dell XPS technical support hotline? but i dont see this is anyway related to technical support.

Hmm 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure about the older batch of M1530 notebooks. I only know that the new batch comes with the remote control. Just like how the older batch of Inspiron 1420's don't come with the remote control, but suddenly the new batch comes, although the specs are exactly the same. Do you still have the Dell box or at least your Courts tax invoice? Can quote me the product code? It's IP00xxxx.

Just don't get white. The DELL and XPS words are stick on due to the fact that it's a glossy surface. It will peel off.
