Hi all,

Wanna get my first laptop and i saw the Dell Inspiron 6000 ad on the papers selling for $1,849. My main purposes is just for pure surfing of net (not a gamer) and need lotsa storage. Is this lappie good enough? Anything to take note of?

I thought of paying through the 0% interest free credit card installment for Citibank. But i'm wondering if Dell deduct the full lump sum from the credit acc or deduct monthly payments?

dell deducts the full amt from ur citibank, then citibank deducts mthly from ur cc. u thus hv a 1-yr contract w citibank cc.

Its should fit your needs comfortably. They will deduct monthly since its an instalment scheme.

Be very cautious if you are not familar with OCing. I suggest you search online to find out more before you start. They(micktal & futurisco) also forgot to mention that it is IMPORTANT that you OPEN up your laptop to apply AS5 before you OC, unless you wanna melt your precious laptop. :)

Err ... i know how to rip up a desktop , but ... err ... for laptops , i need some help

AND i presume AS5 is Artic Silver 5 .

AND which is the latest driver for 6800 GO , forceware **** ?

Hi

I am considering to get 700m or another lappy but it seems like there is a problem with 700m :

http://recall700m.com/

Anyone here can verify?

Any other issues with 700m?

thanks!

Hi winter..

Thanks for the heads up on 700m.

I was about to spring for one 'cos the price is really attractive with Comex on now. $1499, wow! But with the audio in problem, no way. :s16:

Inspiron6000 price is nice $1399 but too heavy for biz trip.

So no Dell laptop for me... may be a 14" Acer or Compaq... Cheers!

Nope. My 9300 runs cool even after 2 hrs of BF2 and DS2. Yeah, the online offer by DELL is good.

It very much depend on individual usage but for those that use VOIP s/w like Skype a lot, this problem (flaw) will surely be a BIG issue.

yes. Integrated cards make use of ur system memory while the other has its own dedicated memory.
