transferrable....if i'm not wrong, you'll have to fill out a transfer form, only if it's still under warranty. :)

receive my inspiron 1 week ago, now all software installed and running, quite happy with the notebook, except a little heavy, also upgraded to 3 years full coverage warranty ( including accidently damage ).

notebook is 3.1Kg ,

leather beg + notebook + power adaptor + mouse = 5.6 Kg, i think it is ok for men but not for ladies.

hi there,

I just ordered a Dell Inspiron 6000 today, with a little customization.

Dell quoted $13 for HD partitioning, thought that was expensive since anyone can do it with a windows bootable disk or any other bootdisk floppy.

Anyone care to share if he or she has problem creating his own HD partition?

I'm not sure if the recovery CD that comes with Dell can perform manual HD partitioning like normal windows CD.

Cheers

Hi,

any one please help me, my new inspiron is generating 1 main folder in My Documents with the name of
BµBlµBuµBeµBtµBoµBoµBtµBhµB

this main folder come with 3 sub folder in it with the name of :-
µBIµBmµBaµBgµBeµB µBIµBnµBbµBoµBxµB
µBIµBnµBbµBoµBxµB
µBSµBhµBaµBrµBeµBdµBFµBoµBlµBdµBeµBrµB
respectively, nothing else is in each folder.

it will generate itself once deleted.

i currently use avast home antivirus, Microsoft AntiSpyware, Spybot - Search & Destroy, a-squared and Ad-Aware SE Personal.

all unable to detect anything.

please help
