Wah i'm trying to take advantage of it leh. Going to order Dell xps M1210 but i'm waiting for the money to come in!

i ordered my M1210 on tuesday...and their delivering it tomorrow...thats fast!! within 4 days of ordering can receive it already...

anyway one more thing to ask you guys...out of the box, do we have to charge the laptop battery for like 8 hours first or something before usage? like charging new handphones kind?

My 640m came with a fully charged battery (about 4 hours battery time), I used it to surf and watch DVD until the battery is almost 0% and I charge it overnight.

Not sure I am doing it right but that's what I did.

yup,they r fast!i got my 640m too within 4 working days and they delivered at 9pm!coz i'm working during office hrs.seldom come across such service....

hmmm...so i guess it's ok if out of the box i straight away plug in the AC Adapter and power to use the laptop? will it be bad for the battery life in the long run?

It's ok to charge your notebook batteries at any time. All notebook batteries nowadays are lithium ion, which do not suffer from the "memory" effect. When the battery is fully charged, it will switch to AC power.

Cos they didn't exactly put the model's number, they just put AD-DELL (CUSTKIT) - Dell Kit - 512MB (1x512) Memory for Inspiron 630m/1300/6000/9300 so i'm not sure if its exactly the same.
