Eh i confirm will be getting a dell laptop by the end of the mth with the dedicated graphic card as well as a T7300 processor. :)

YahZ after so many days of consideration, finally make my decision le. Nw just have to wait for my $$ to come in den will buy it at the end mth. Really cant wait to own my 1st dell laptop. :)

hi i have an inspiron 510m..v old model...think abt 4-5 yrs old..

when im using halfway the screen jus go blank...nth i press will bring it on...i have to hold the power button and start it back up again...after a random period of time, it does the same thing again..wat could be the problem?

darn...was typing halfway when the whole comp went blank agn...initially i thought it was due to my ethernet cable...coz one time i plugged it in..the screen went blank..its nt jus teh screen..the music i wasa playing also stopped...so i guess the whole comp went blank...could it be the OS is corrupted?

im thinking of doing a reformat this weekend when i get home.....it is happening v often and its affecting my sch work..

this prob started when i accidentally allowed an active x control script to run frm an unknown website...i moved the cursor wrongly...darn....cud this be a virus?

Hi i would like to check for the vostro notebook there is a card slot after remove the battery. May i know wat is the card slot for? Thanks..! :D

It's for the SIM card for Mobile Broadband.

See your manual for more info.

Hmm.. my vostro left speaker seems to have some sizzling sound when playing at certain songs (maybe the volume, not sure). Is this normal? can i call the dell person down for that?.

Can i call the dell person down just because 1 of my keyboard button is a bit lose.. keeps coming off? lol

Sorry for asking a bit of lame questions...

Aint lame.....good questions.......

If you just bought it recently....then you're applicable for any free trouble shooting from their side, just give them a calll and tell them your problem

However, that being said....if its quite sometime i'm not too sure....for their policy i've very well quite skip it :s13:

Got my first DELL.

Got my first DELL. It's a inspiron - 1520 with following main specs:

2.0GHz Core 2 Duo (2MB Cache)
160GB SATA
Nvidia 8600GT 512MB GDDR2 (dedicated)
2GB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM
OS: XP Home (Formatted the os and custom install WinXP Pro.)

Order online and delivered in less than 5 days.

ps: i cant find the laptop batt for my model inspiron 510m....seems like dell is not selling it anymore? did i overlook something?

DELL warranty covers Asia Pacific i.e. Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, India, Hong Kong, and China.

really? so if i buy frm malaysia.....even the one year warranty is valid in singapore? or only the 3 yrs one?

anyone care to tell me where they got their dell in msia? i saw the prices....much cheaper to buy there.

ps: dell din respond to my queries via email...

leaving my telephone no also yield no return calls from them.

You can buy DELL Vostro 1400 from shops in East Malaysia (Kuching); not sure about West Malaysia.
