jus a few questions on Dell and , dell's lappy vostro 1400 . it is possible for me to purchase this for personal use? cos dell classfied this as small business user category . are there any difference between 1420 and vostro 1400 ? for dell , do they have any kind of like road show small physical booth in singapore which i can go down personally to have a feel of the laptop and purchase it on the spot?

Yes, u can buy it for personal use. Dell do have a physical booth at suntec city which i went there myself n make the purchase over there.

I believe they do as i made payment at the booth there using my DBS debit card.

Anyone here is able to play games like Splinter Cell Double Agent, GRAW2 with DELL 2GHz Core 2 Duo on 8600M (8600GT)? Graphic on SC:DA is corrupted and GRAW2 is laggy. My 7600GT on a old P4 can do better than that. I tried to upgrade the graphic driver from nvidia but it say no device found.... Anyone manage to update their 8600M's driver?

Any comments on the 1720? I'm actually holding a 510M now however I'm thinking of getting one for gaming as I'm going over to Aussie for studies.

Would like to know if the build quality is good and if its worth the price?

I just received my 1st Dell laptop, 1420. And now is happily using it but eh can i check with you guys that is it possible that i can install another dvd burner program beside the ones that they gave me as i kept trying register the program online but it kept stating cant detect any intenet connection even though i am online?

I've checked the Hitachi Credit website, thinking of taking a Hire-Purchase plan, but the interest rate is not stated. Can anyone advice?

Not worth it, use interest free Credit Card will do.

Yea, it's not worth it. But just wanna see if the difference is big, if not i will just go for Hitachi Credit so would lock my credit limit.
