Does Dell have any notebook that have long battery life. I just found Acer has one which battery can last 8 straight hrs.

What are the various brand and models having such long battery life.

Does anybody knows any Dell laptop that has built in 3/3.5G (HSDPA) and can last for a long time on a single charged battery?

I think one of the options for customizing includes the HSDPA sim. However, if i remember correctly, it costs S$250 and above.

For prolonged usage, getting the SU processor may yield better results. A larger cell battery also helps. 6 and 9 cell batteries options are available.

user of vostro 1200 here for the past 1.5yrs , i would say dun expect much from the audio. Too soft for mi. If possible, get a x mini or external speaker bah.

hi... besides the audio, any complaints? hows the casing like, and the hinge as well.. im more concerned about the built..considering 1220.. thanks ! :)

my keyboard give up on me recently, so i change a new keyboard. Other than that, no complaints. Others might be having a longer lasting keyboard. Built is ok bah, you gotta feel it if possible. Rubbery texture for top. I dunno abt the new design, mine is the older design

mine is the studio 1557 with the core i7 cpu. the one with the c2d cpu should be 1555.

as for reviews, i like the laptop big screen with high res, core i7 cpu with a price of slightly above 2k. keyboard also feels good to type.

negative part is i don't like the texture of the palm rest area. i prefer my old thinkpad palm rest. battery life with the core i7 not very good... my 9 cell batt can only last about 3 hours.

i am also on studio 1557, does your 1557 become very hot under normal using? Mine is kind of hot...

downside is i find it hard to buy notebook case, 15.6" is not a common size..:(
