No lag at all. My son compared it with his iPhone4 and say it is equally as fast if not better. I dont play it , only my son does. He say the wow factor was in the Dell cos of the bigger screen. My unit is on Froyo ( unofficial Steve version 1.4.6 )

hahah...balls to them lar.....might as well say Tab running on 1.5 and Streak running on Gingerbread liao....when i was there one of the promoters was comparing the size of Galaxy S and Streak to one uncle and the promoter kept telling the uncle Galaxy S is 4.3inch...funny enough the uncle owns a Galaxy S but he also like know nothing about the phone his currently owning.

I see. Does ur dell streak lags when playing angry birds? I tried playing with the sample set and its kinda laggy. What is the cause of this. I wanna knw more as i might be getting one too. Does it always lag when playing games?

I think the reason for the lag is on official dell froyo which has a limited of 30fps, as benny888 is using Steve version which Steve has remove the limited of 30fps. I was playing NFS shift on my streak(w Steve rom v1.4.6 too) and its smooth

i've just gotten an unlocked dell streak from US, it comes with 1.6 out of the box. Any ideas when 2.2 will be available for download (as the system updates always state my device is up to date already zzzz).

If i bring it down to dell service centre, will they help me with upgrading the device to froyo 2.2?

Hmm, i think for usa lock and unlock streak update ota is around mid dec if i am right. So technically you will have to wait for the ota to be release. Cause i think each country streak has different baseband. I am just saying even if you go to dell service centre they wouldn't have your version yet as its not yet been release. Unless you wanna go to the darkside(custom rom) thats a whole different story...lol

haha maybe he thought uncle don't know anything about phone, or maybe the promoter mean the whole phone is 4.3inch including the screen size...lol

Just wait for the official upgrade, its worth the wait, shud be available soon, definitely before xmas.
Mine is the UK version, got it updated to froyo 2.2 via the system update thru wifi, abt 2wks ago, it was seamless and smooth.

Hi Everyone,

Currently deciding to buy HTC Desire HD or Dell Streak?

Is the battery life on Streak good? Can it last more than a day?

Is the volume loud?

Because from what i read on Desire HD forum, the batt life is quite bad and vol very soft.
