mine suddenly cannot power on already :s22:

Mine also failed a few days ago after a scheduled power outage. On hindsight I should have turned off the electricity at the mains though the monitor was in off mode so that there would be less risk of electrical surge killing the device.

All ips has backlight bleed , unless u talking Abt VA panel .

Btw nobody keep looking at black screen

But mine is like the bleeding is very uneven. Machiam like certain parts dark certain parts bright, even though the screen was supposed to be displaying a single color.

The life span is there . New 24inch is only $168 , nothing much

but just checking if anyone knows what is the only safest DP cable for this monitor cos i google the cable and it seems like this monitor have some power issues which will damage the monitor so i was wonder if there is any brands of cable i can consider to purchase from?

i had the older model U2311H, retired it several years ago after the florescent backlight start to give up
it lasted almost 7 years
:(

To announce that my monitor completed its tour of duty liao. :o
Same here, my U2312HM also keechia last year. Buy in 2011~12 and lasted for around 8yrs. Dell monitors really built to last.

Been using my U2312HM for almost eight years and it is still working fine. Durability of this monitor is great! Hope to use it for at least another year before upgrading.
