If you check Dell from other countries like the U.S and Australia, the U2412M is still there.

I might be wrong but have this feeling that 'cheap' 24" 16:10 monitors will be slowly phased out soon. One will need to fork out good money for high end models like the new U2413.

Just got mine today:D brought down my 2009 unibody mb for a test to see if it can hit full resolution.

Manage to asked and they willing to try it out for me. I only got mini dp to hdmi with me. So the test is goes with mini dp > hdmi cable >hdmi to dvi converter. doesn't work at all... Beware. So he took his mini dp to dp straight to the monitor. It works! Full resolution!

made the purchase thereafter!

Big thanks to Dell personal for spending time troubleshooting! Donno his name though.

How come yours warranty is only 3 years? I've checked Dell outlet in SIM LIM and the premiun Monitors like U2412M and U2312HM is for 5 years (also printed on the box). and the rest of the Monotor are for 3 years.

there are stocks distributed with only 3 years warranty (ultra sharp series). they are usually cheaper.

as for at funan, the shop with ready stocks is not Dell direct. shops with ready stocks there are by Juzz1 or AddON, cannot exactly remember the name.

yup his right! my monitor came from dell warehouse in malaysia. so i am waiting as of now. 3-5 working days

Scratch my head and don't understand the logic.:s12:
Why not buy the same monitor with cheap, ready stock and comes with 5 year's warranty one?
BTW my monitor also came from Malaysia.

ask u guys,

is it still worth getting this 1920 x 1200 res monitor or do i wait for a while if there is any more new model ?
