I was diagnosed with minor depressive disorder after my retrenchment.

I've never taken meds for it, though.
Sometime talking to people, different people helps, please do not give up, there are other things in life

i found the solution to this problem in my teens. it's not for everyone though. i lost my dad before ns and my housewife mother was forced to work and got bullied very often. it was dark ages for me. depression became a very powerful tool for me, though i don't feel down often
What do you do with this powerful tool? I hope your mother was able to cope with the stress.

I think TS depression might be linked to boredom.
Why cosmoscat say rich ppl are less happy cos they already spend their wealth
on things that poor ppl have something to look forward to.
The brain releases dopamine when feeling happy.
But overdose does not bring higher joy.
Instead once addicted to it, on its absence, one will feel empty. Hollowed out.
Its a form of withdrawal effects from lack of happiness.

Practice delayed gratification helps. Either you become a walking corpse without
a soul like me. Or each controlled burst of emotion release sends you to the sky.

You are brave enough to have seen a doctor already in the past, please do so again
going down this path is very scary really, as you have known by now
seek help asap

I guess I just haven't been feeling quite right for a few days now. Feel myself spiraling. Had a period of time like this a few years ago. I get these weird, inexplicable attacks every few years.

I could not talk to anyone earlier here because I was banned.

I'm trying hard to overcome it now before it gets any worse.

Been moping about for some time now, not doing anything. Ignoring all my chores. Ordering in for every meal.

Trying to watch stuff to laugh it off. Or cry it off.

Or just trying to sleep it off, but I can never get enough sleep. I can only do 2 or 3 hours max and wake up, ever since the jabs a few years ago.

I did see a doctor, our family GP, who was certified for psychiatry. He passed away this year in a sauna, on a trip to Japan.

Thank you for listening. I really appreciate you guys.
sometimes, the best way is let go (something like YOLO)

i know it's not easy, i've been there, done that..

so my way was, occupying my brain with something that totally different than my routine..

for example, if my work causing my depression, then i take a break, or each week (weekends) , i dropped everything, yes all of it, including all urgent email, monday meeting, minutes to submit..

and the whole weekend, just doing something i like, or completely new activities, or visit places you never been (yes spore not much)

or for some people, doing meditation.. meeting peoples.. religious activites, etc

just don't keep all that in your mind..

she couldn't cope. released all her frustration on me for many decades. i have to thank satan i survived. church didn't help. made things worse due to stereotyping. pastors expected children to obey their parents. parents are always correct. parents never abuse kids. children are always wrong and parents are always right. i left church and became better off
