I like anantara. It has its own beach, pools and kids activities centers. Food wise, variety is ample. Not the cheapest option in the region but quality services and amenities

2n ard $900 but reviews are excellent. Very tempting. What about Westin Desaru Coast resort? Reviews are good too and slightly cheaper.
Westin is ok. i've ran there during my morning runs and also have one meal there. I think the hassle of walking down the big steps and distance of ca 100-200m and to cross a small road to reach a beach is not very appealing to me. Going to the beach is less of a problem, but to have to go the way back after you spent time at the beach and wet etc, is a no go for me. (First world problem)Just checked booking.com. Yes its impossible to get grab there. You should ask the resort to help arrange a transport. The other main resorts within the desaru coast has shuttle bus, dont think lotus resort is serviced by the shuttle bus
Anantara is good. Breakfast selection is very ample and the quality of food is not bad too. Nice rooms. Good for kids as well with the kids club..

Is it this one Restoran Terapung Seafood Bujang Fire Fly? Looks simple enough to drive there. Literally at the end of the Senai-Desaru highway.
Actually i dont see any car rental companies at the jetty or resort area at all! I was thinking if its a good idea to start a small car rental company there even!

I did. If you want to go waterpark, hard rock desaru is the best choice, since there is a dedicated waterpark entrance for hard rock desaru guests.
