I think he may face problems if he opens too many tabs... But up to him to decide.

Im using 4Gb ram, and I sometimes open more than 10 tabs (i like to view threads and keep opening them at background), and even run youtube videos in one of those tabs to listen to songs while surfing. Never had any lag.

U dont need so much ram to surf net...even my mom's lousy desktop with 2GB ram also never lag when surfing net...

and... i've decided to up the budget to $850! would really like to get a quad core processor

Actually $700 can get what you want, and you need:

CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-4460 + ASRock H81M-HDS @ $302
RAM: Crucial DDR3-1600 CL9 8GB @ $95
GPU: PowerColor HD 7770 1GB @ $139 (Ban Leong eStore)
HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB @ $71
CASE+PSU: In Win BK644 + 300W SFX PSU [80 Plus] @ $105

Total: $712

Buy others from Tradepac, #05-18.

If i add Windows 7 to Moneyface's setup,

CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-4460 + ASRock H81M-HDS @ $302
RAM: Crucial DDR3-1600 CL9 8GB @ $95
GPU: PowerColor HD 7770 1GB @ $139 (Ban Leong eStore)
HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB @ $71
CASE+PSU: In Win BK644 + 300W SFX PSU [80 Plus] @ $105
Windows 7 64bit ~ $116

Total: $828

compared with Heng Heng's 2nd setup:

H81M-DGS + 4440 ~ $294
Zotac 750TI~ $207
Crucial 8gb ~ $90
1TB WD blue ~ $71
Windows 7 64bit ~ $116
FSP Hexa 450W ~ $56
Sharkoon MA M1000 ~ $58

Total: $892

Is this $64 going to be well worth the $$$?
