anyone from Sengkang able to receive DVB T2 signal?

Compassvale area surrounded by flats
I can receive 80-90% signal quality if I place my AC Ryan antenna on the floor below my window
Need to use an antenna cable extender though, thus quite unsightly

Got a free Draco box from mediacorp.

This box good?
Can I check how you get it free?
Singtel rang me a few weeks back offering me a "free" digital tv antenna setup bec of me being a 'loyal subscriber'.
Only on further questioning did she clarify that it is free for first year, after which I have to pay $5 a month.
Rejected offer

My grandparents not on starhub or mio & tv not digital ready. So besides buying a box like draco they still need an indoor antenna? They have starhub tv point & not the old fashion VHF tv point.

you need a digital tv set-up box AND an indoor antenna. the starhub tv point no more use.

So tv connect to STB & STB connect to indoor antenna?

The STB comes with antenna i guess?

But if the TV is digital ready then no need STB & indoor antenna right? Just connect to starhub point.

tv -> set-up box -> indoor antenna

the set-up box should come with a really basic antenna.

for digital tv, it will be digital tv -> indoor antenna cos the digital tv already has a build-in "digital set-up box".

connecting to the starhub tv point will only give you the current SD FTA channels like what we have always been doing before dvb-t2 is out.

HD FTA channels is only for those starhub cable tv subscribers. you can think of it as a perk that starhub provides for its users.

same thing how singtel provides HD FTA channels for its miotv users.

If u want u can buy a DVB-C receiver to receive free-to-air MediaCorp channels from the StarHub TV point.

there is no telling when starhub will stop broadcasting FTA channels for non-subscribers thru the starhub tv point. might as well go dvb-t2.
