Nope. I'm located at Kallang, low floor. Probably not a good location and height to get MY channels. Anyway somebody at lowyat report loss of signal even at Skudai, Johor. They are probably still testing/adjusting the broadcast signal.

I've built a Stealth Hawk antenna (the finished thing is huge!) with all the leftover material and will try my luck with Batam digital signal since my location is closer to Batam.

Think both Batam and My digital signals are off at the moment.

Can share a pic of your newly built Stealth Hawk antenna? I'm interested to build one which also fit in as a decor on the wall nearest my window. Now choosing the fractal designs the bigger the better.

This version looks much better than mine and is better constructed. Anyway Stealth Hawk is not a fractal antenna.

Hi,

I am helping one of my colleagues on this issue, anyone resides at Marine Parade Blk70 vicinity? In view of the digital TV thingy, he bought a digital setup box for his TV but until now, he said he can't tune to any channels? Why, assuming he has connected all cabling correctly. Is it a MUST to have antenna? Must the antenna be positioned near to window?

Thanks in advance.

Wouldn't it be odd to hang this huge antenna inside the house? It seem more suitable for outdoor usage.

An antenna is a must, since it's the way how DTV signals are received.
It's not a must to position the antenna beside the window but is recommended.

Can take a look at this TVC about Digital TV, there's some informative info inside about Digital TV too~

Hi,

Thanks for all the replies. He is very sure he has done every step correctly. He bought the $129 set from legit departmental store but why is it still cannot? Could it be the place he stays? Is Marine Parade ready for digital TV? Many thanks.

Could be the STB is faulty to begin with even if it's brought from legit store. I have encountered STB (non-branded) that is working but can't tune any channel even when it setup correctly.

Marine Parade is already indoor reception ready so if your friend have setup using external antenna but still not working, it's high time to call the STB manufacturer.

Faulty STB, some shops allow 1 to 1 exchange within x days with their receipt.

Tampines is still not Indoor Reception Ready. Do made an effort and check out the status yourself here.

Whichever the case, an external antenna is require to receive DVB-T2 signal.

Before shopping for a new antenna, look around your house for any of these. They work perfectly well on my digital TV. There is no difference between the Draco antenna and the rest. Even a coaxial cable works perfectly well as an antenna. No harm trying them before splurging on some fanciful antenna :D

From Mediacorp:

As part of our plan to transition into full HD for all our digital TV channels, we are currently conducting a retuning exercise for the following digital channels transmitting on UHF 570MHz: Channel NewsAsia, okto and Channel U. Retuning is required for viewers who watch our digital TV channels over-the-air using DVB-T2 set-top box or Integrated Digital TV.

If your TV set requires retuning, you will see banner messages on the specific channels prompting you to retune. Viewers watching Mediacorp analogue channels or our channels via pay-TV (StarHub or Singtel) are NOT affected by this exercise. Viewers are advised to retune their channels by 29 Feb 2016 to continue watching Mediacorp programmes.

Please read the step-by-step retuning guide in PDF here http://www17.mediacorp.sg/digitaltv/Retuning/ANNOUNCEMENT ON DTV WEBSITE 29Dec15.pdf.

For more info, please visit www.mediacorp.sg/digitaltv or call our hotline 6435-6288.

Map update, albeit without any tangible progress. Those in the newly formed "Tampines East", good luck, coz you just joined the same timeline as Punggol in Q4...

On the other hand, western half of Jurong West now joins the northern areas for Q2.
