actually quite skeptical that the dim sum is nice.

went over to hungry go where to find out the reviews and most were bad. albeit the reviews where mainly on their seafood - which should be their specialty as it is what they are more well known for.

My colleague called to book on Sunday. The buffet is from 2:30pm to 4:30pm and cost $16.80.

Mmm...Sorry to hear about your experience. Since you were ready to go to the one at Miramar, I didn't think you would mind the others. They are only good for quantity and for that kind of quality, I think it is only worth the weekday pricing.

anyone tried Royal China at Raffles Hotel before?

how is the food and price as compared to others?

Royal China is good and on par with Wah Lok and the likes. Pricing is similar to that of upclass restaurants. Think $4.80 for a steamer of dim sum. But I understand that the dim sum chef left for Taste Paradise so I'm not sure if it's any good now. If you need a reference for price points, I have a few reviews here, here, here and here. :o
