In Europe, where the bottles refund machines are inside supermarkets, they actually place a tap nearby for people to rinse before refunding

Please rinse your cans and bottles before depositing it into the machine. Worst offenders are alcohol (esp beer), followed by coffee, milk products (and anything containing milk eg milk tea) and milk alternatives (eg soy milk, oat milk).

Least smelly drinks besides plain water are unsweetened tea.

i only do things that the govt say. govt never say need to clean so no need.

govt say must pay 10cent deposit to recycle. no pay deposit means no need recycle.

Might be those coke can.

Had this garbage stink like smell before at home couldn't locate the source for awhile.

End up is some cans in a carton of coke kept on the floor exploded and leaked (don't ask me how, I also don't know)
Exploded cans are also in the middle of the box.

Really smell like those bin center smell

sometimes random cans will just sexplode and leak, happened to my beer before

So the rich and well to do would leave their bottles for others to pick.

Duh , most ppl dun bother wash/rinse rah

Either will just pour away unfinished leftover or drink up finish (but still with bit of residue insai) , but will notch "waste" water to clean it first

Actually the thing is that they extend it to milk bottle also.... the chao sng smell most likely comes from fermented chao sng milk bottle that are either not washed... or not washed properly as sometimes milk can curdled inside the bottle and become hard to wash clean even after soaking for a while... I once tried to clean it had to soak and pour out a few rounds. And frankly I dun feel is worth to collect back 10 cents for a 2L size milk bottle, I used them as container for moving clean tap water around for refilling the air pot.

And they might have it on yogurt drink also.. these are probably those that will ferment, add some beer cans in.... you got a well mix of smells inside.

Soon u see crockroaches and rats crawling around these BCRS machine. Chao sng beer inside these cans can be very smelly one..

Just like the mandatory tray return cause another problem in providing ample food for birds like mynahs and crows... One main reason why their population exploded and getting out of control...

Huai Grace never make it illegals for the birds to eat the foods at the tray return stations?

Who so stupid do this? When u return bottle, the money is returned to you digitally. So they will know who returned these bottles if they want to, if they havent already done so…

Some supermarket one quite ok. Saw the staff clear and clean. Quite diligent. But others cannot say so. Some got that chao-sng alcohol smell. Smell liao don't feel like using the machine. And its the supermarket machine. Can't help wonder what the people do, at night camp outside supermaket drink and dump ah.

Wonder if these machines will be future cause for hygiene concern or not.
